L'audiovisuel face au numérique : les gestes sémiotiques autour des prothèses, des dispositifs et des archives

Dans cet article, nous interrogeons le rapport entre les technologies numériques et les possibilités sémiotiques de l'audiovisuel. À partir de l'étude de trois exemples — un épisode de la série Black Mirror et les films Passion et Redacted de Brian De Palma — nous souhaitons montrer que le numérique a restructuré notre rapport au monde tel que celui-ci se construit entre perception, énonciation, communication et transmission. Trois concepts se dégageront de cette enquête : celui d'enregistrement prothétique interrogera le seuil entre la perception et l'énonciation ; les dispositifs portables nous permettront d'analyser les niches sémiotiques qui nuancent la différence entre énonciation et communication ; enfin, le concept d'archive numérique guidera notre examen du rapport entre communication et transmission. In this article we will examine the relationship between digital technologies and the semiotic possibilities of the audiovisual forms. Starting from the study of three examples — an episode of the Black Mirror series and the movies Passion and Redacted by Brian De Palma — we will try to show that the digital revolution has restructured our relationship to the world as it is constructed between perception, enunciation, communication and transmission. Three concepts will emerge from this study: the concept of prosthetic registration will question the threshold between perception and enunciation; the concept of portable devices will help us analyse the semiotic niches that qualify the difference between enunciation and communication; and finally, the concept of digital archive will guide our examination of the relationship between communication and transmission.
