BIM Collaboration; uses of a digital model; data exchange; experimentation
Abstract :
[en] In this article, we expose the research work on the study of information in a BIM process, in particular (1) its object, (2) its type of support, for its visualization and its exchange. We analyze the formal and informal exchanges between the actors for well-defined BIM uses of the digital model. This article recalls the announced uses of the digital model in the construction sector, as well as the importance of the exchange of information in a BIM process. Then, we clearly ask two research questions and we explain the two adopted data collection protocols, in an experimental framework. The first results show that the exchange of information mainly concerns the organization of collaborative work and that the digital model is not the only medium for formal and informal exchanges between the actors of a BIM project.
