Abstract :
[en] The Multidisciplinary Experimental Project (PEMD) is a course, supervised by five teachers and a coordinator, for third year bio-engineering students (L3 equivalent). The main objective of the course is to offer students a discovery of their future profession as researchers through a real research project. Students must carry out a group work based on a research question, carry out a documentary work, write an experimental plan, carry out a laboratory research to test one or more hypotheses and carry out a statistical work and a writing work to answer the research question by means of an article respecting the standards of a scientific publication. This presentation will describe the framework with the network of courses integrated in the project (systematic botany, general ecology, applied statistics, risk analysis and traceability and scientific literature). It will then describe the learning outcomes as well as the specificities of the "scientific literature" part, including the individual evaluation of the students and the place of information literacy in the training system. Finally, a take home message will take stock after five years of implementation. It will underline the importance of close coordination between teachers and the importance of effective communication management. It will describe the adaptation, over time, of the ECTS load for the course and the reduction of initial ambitions.
