Abstract :
[en] Numerous fluctuations in the Gulf Stream at the end of the Pleistocene led to abrupt and severe periods of cooling of the European climate. The cause of these changes could have been the arrival of large quantities of fresh water in the North Atlantic. One wonders if Europe, today, could undergo a similar climatic catastrophe more dangerous than global warming.
