Abstract :
[en] This paper discusses issues that we face in the construction of the Alto Sertão da Bahia Museum - MASB. On the one hand, this experience is marked by inspirations arising from movements and trends, such as Social Museology or Sociomuseology, which put in the background aspects of the institutionalization of museums, the constitution of collections and other demands of traditional museums, emphasizing the trinomial territory- equity-society. On the other hand, the archaeological heritage, National Heritage in Brazil, poses specific challenges. The public commitment to archaeological heritage imposes the safeguard for future generations, limiting the discourse of a “museal fluidity” defended by Sociomuseology and its counterparts, in which the museum, created around the problems of the community, can be dismantled as such when such problems are overcome. The reflection on the insertion of Tourism in this complex weave is especially thought-provoking and challenging, since Cultural Tourism practices have been repeatedly linked to the processes identified with Sociomuseology, as well as evidencing the increasing efforts of traditional Archeology museums to insert themselves in tourist circuits. At MASB, the relationship between Museum, Tourism and Archeology has benefited from this hybrid model, favoring the Motivation-Interpretation-Intervention triad, and problematizing the concepts of environment, natural heritage and cultural heritage.
