Abstract :
[en] The bovine viral diarrhoea virus (BVDV) is responsible for two distinct morbid entity in cattle : one form of BVD, which has a high morbidity rate and a low mortality rate, and another form, MD, (mucosal disease), of sporadic apparition, but regularly fatal. The biology and the epidemiology of the infection by the BVDV in bovine enables the clinician to differentiate the cytopathogenic strains of virus from the non cytopathogenic and therefore, define the typical profile of the animal at risk (4 figures, 1 table, 1 box, 23 references).
