Abstract :
[en] The balance of the reinforcement and flame retardancy of rigid polyurethane foams (PUR) may be envisaged by controlling the dispersion and adhesion of the filler. Encouraging results are reported by grafting onto the filler surface a polymer miscible and reactive with the foam‐forming ingredients. It appears that polyethers may do for PUR foams what the silanes do for glass fiber reinforced plastics. Copyright © 1984 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
