[en] The prison of Lantin, Liege, Belgium, has the distinction of welcoming children from 0 to 3 years accompanying their mother during their imprisonment. The life context of these patients requires both medical care and specific psychosocial support. This article reviews recommendations for good practice at the health, preventive and therapeutic levels. In particular, the assessment of the bond of attachment between the child and his mother is a major prognostic factor. [fr] La prison de Lantin, située à Liège, en Belgique, présente la particularité d’accueillir des enfants de 0 à 3 ans accompagnant leur mère durant leur emprisonnement. Le contexte de vie de ces patients nécessite une prise en charge médicale et un accompagnement psycho-social spécifique. Cet article passe en revue les recommandations de bonne pratique, tant au niveau sanitaire, préventif que thérapeutique (1). Notamment, l’évaluation du lien d’attachement entre l’enfant et sa mère est un facteur pronostique majeur (2).
