Abstract :
[en] Operation during and after a seismic event is a requirement for installed emergency power supply systems. This work provides the seismic proof and seismic qualification for a Diesel Rotary Uninterruptible Power Supply (DRUPS) which is located in Switzerland. Finite Element Analysis (FEA)- Simulations of static structural analysis with maximal accelerations and response spectrum analysis are conducted using ANSYS Mechanical. The loads are defined according to the Swiss seismic norm and the resulting stresses are compared to the yield stress limit.
