Abstract :
[en] Aspiration of gastric content is a rare complication following general anesthesia (GA), and is responsible for significant morbidity and mortality. We report the case of a 69 years-old man who underwent a JJ-stent replacement for ureterohydronephrosis carried out under GA with a laryngeal mask airway (LMA). During this procedure, an unexpected enterovesical fistula (EFV) resulted in a massive gastric aspiration. Through this case, we will discuss the indications and contraindications of supraglottic airway devices (SAD), as well as the etiology, diagnosis and work-up of EVF.
