Abstract :
[en] An 11-year-old, mixed-breed dog suffering progressive asymmetric hind limb ataxia was diagnosed as having spinal cord compression at the L1 spinal level. An intramedullary, encapsulated tumor was surgically removed. Tumor microscopic features, positive neuron-specific enolase (NSE) immunostaining, and Grimelius staining led to the diagnosis of paraganglioma. The dog was free from any neuroloaic signs 12 days after surgery.
