Abstract :
[en] Livestock characteristics of the Africa’s local pig The African native pig (Sus Scrofa domesticus) is raised mostly by poor farmers in a traditional and family livestock system. The aim of this review is to describe this system in order to propose appropriate improvements to the socioeconomic conditions of these farmers and allow the conservation of this breed. For this purpose, this livestock system has been described through the mode of animals management , the characteristics of its habitat, feeding practices, breeding practices and health practices
