[en] Cobalt-Mediated Radical Polymerization (CMRP) is one of the most efficient techniques to form sequenced copolymers between monomers of very different reactivities(e.g. vinyl acetate and acrylonitrile). CMRP is used here to synthesize nanogels of vinylic monomers (either vinyl acetate or ionic liquid monomers) using different concentrations of cross-linking agent (divinyl adipate, or divinyl imidazolium). The aim is to determine the difference in structure of the nanogels, in order to use them for the preparation of star-like and/or core-shell structures.
