De transactiebeslissing van het auditoraat van de Belgische mededingingsautoriteit in het supermarktendossier: een ‘hub & spoke’ compromis à la belge?

This article analyses and contextualises the Belgian Competition Authority's transaction decision terminating its investigation in anticompetitive practices of Belgian supermarkets. In doing so, the Authority adopted a position on the existence and treatment of so-called "hub&spoke" cartels. The paper analyses to what extent the Belgian position aligns with other authorities' and the EU's take on the problem and proposes a way forward in that respect.
