Abstract :
[en] By analysis of genomic clones, we have determined the complete nucleotide sequence of the gene encoding triosephosphate isomerase (TIM; EC 5.3.1.1) in the thermophilic bacterium, Bacillus stearothermophilus. The gene encodes a 253-amino-acid TIM which is 39% identical to that of the mesophile, Escherichia coli.
