Abstract :
[en] The article is a retranslation attempt of a Cameroon Fulani 'Mbooku' poem previously transcribed from oral material and translated into English by the Japanese scholar Paul K. Eguchi in 1992. It aims at showing how (re)translation is important for such 'endangered' literature like African oral poems. Moreover, it contributes in introducing primary oral literature to the field of translation studies.
