Abstract :
[en] Medications often partially alleviate the symptoms of RLS patients, emphasizing the need for finding alternative treatments. Recent studies reported an efficacy of bright light therapy (BLT) in Parkinson disease. RLS pathogenesis involves the dopaminergic system and light has been shown to influence the dopaminergic tone. Therefore, the objective of our study was to determine the therapeutic value of three weeks of BLT on RLS symptoms severity, sleep quality, daytime somnolence, circadian rhythms and mood.
