Thiophene derivatives with donor–π–acceptor structures for enhanced light-absorption properties and efficient cationic polymerization upon green-light irradiation
[en] Positively charged thermoresponsive nanogels (NGs) are easily synthesized by precipitation polymerization of N-isopropylacrylamide and 2-dimethyl(aminoethyl)methacrylate crosslinked with dendritic polyglycerol. The NGs are characterized in terms of size, thermoresponsive properties, and Z potential. Their potential applications as drug delivery carriers are evaluated by the encapsulation and release of different anticancer drugs. As model drugs, doxorubicin and methotrexate are studied.
