Abstract :
[en] The composition and the structure of the nestling sparrows were studied in the north-west of Algeria. The nestling's food of the two sparrows consisted mainly of animal food in the beginning of the nestling period, the vegetable fraction of the diet become more important at the end of this period. Preys hierarchy can vary with nestling age, colony situation and season. The two sparrows, and their recognised age-classes, have similar diet structure. The distribution of preys between the different taxa revealed that the sparrows are generalist predators. The spanish sparrow, however, exhibit sometimes a strong specialisation.
