[es] En este trabajo se analizan las diferentes «figuras de traductor» que pueden identificarse a principios del siglo XX en Buenos Aires. El trabajo tiene una dimensión teórica, en la que se define la noción de «figura de traductor», entendida como un concepto mediador entre el individuo traductor y el haz de determinaciones sociales que contribuyen a la significación de su práctica. En segundo lugar, tiene una dimensión historiográfica, ya que se proporcionan diversos ejemplos de figura de traductor, que van desde el letrado-traductor propio del siglo XIX hasta el traductor profesional que se afianza en las décadas de 1930 y 1940. [en] This work analyzes the different “translator figures” that can be identified at the beginning of the 20th century in Buenos Aires. The work contains a theoretical dimension that defines the notion of the “translator figure,” understood as a mediating concept between the individual translator and the bundle of social determinations that contribute to the meaning of his or her practice. In second place, it contains a historiographical dimension, which extends from the notion of the learned-translator of the 19th century to that of the professional translator that was established in the 1930s and 1940s.
