[en] This essay discusses the changing nature of (Flemish) poetry at the beginning of the 21ste century: the genre appears to become increasingly obsolete and unpopular; on the other hand, it continues to show an unexpected vitality. This may be explained by the fact that both poetry and the inescapable frailty of human identifications are two faces of the same coin.
