Abstract :
[en] At the end of December 2008, Yves Leterme (CD&V – Flemish Christian Democrat party) has given up his place as Prime Minister. His resignation has put an end to the political crisis in Belgium. Yves Leterme has been replaced by Herman Van Rompuy (CD&V). On the 7th of June there will be two kinds of elections in Belgium: European and regional elections. What is really at stake in this context? Can a European issue emerge among the omnipresent discussions on the future of Belgium?
