Abstract :
[en] A micro-bank for rural development in Baham (Cameroon). The creation of microfinancing institutions for rural activities has enabled rural development to take off in poor countries. In Baham, amicro-bank was created with the technical and financial support of such partners as the ADAF and the afriland first-Bank. It aims at combining modern techniques of management and sociocultural values, in order to make as many members as possible benefit by its services. This study focuses on the nature and the functioning of the bank, its means of action and financing, its role in the agro-pastoral development and the socio-economical evolution of the district and of the village.
