[en] The exploitation of mineral resources other than building materials was for a long time the main business sector in RD-Congo. Further to the striking degradation of the road infrastructure and various architectural works, it turned out indispensable to investigate the various resources in building materials (abundant in the country), to characterize them in order to indicate the fields of appropriate applications. In this note, we are respectively interested in the carbonated and clayey materials of the regions of Mbuji-Mayi and Kinshasa. And we show the various valuations that meet the criteria of sustainable development. [fr] L’exploitation des ressources minérales autre que les matériaux de construction a longtemps été le principal secteur d’activité en RD-Congo. Suite à la dégradation criante des infrastructures routières et divers ouvrages architecturales, il s'est avéré indispensable d'investiguer les différentes ressources en matériaux de construction (abondantes dans le pays), de les caractériser en vue d'en indiquer des champs d'applications appropriées. Dans cette note, nous nous intéressons respectivement aux matériaux carbonatés et argileux des régions de Mbuji-Mayi et Kinshasa. et nous en montrons les différentes valorisations qui répondent aux critères d'un développement durable.
