Abstract :
[en] The Belgian population of the badger have suffered a severe decline during the two past decades. More thanone hundred burrows have been screened in order to define their characteristics. The data have been submitted to a multivariate analysis, allowing to isolate the main criteria guiding the habitat choice. The badger is supposed to be able to recolonize most of the sites from where it has disappeard il the persecutions it has to face were to come to an end.
