Abstract :
[en] This article investigates the way in which the Flemish poet Herman de Coninck negotiated his position as a new realist. By presenting himself as a moderate, he was able to maintain and defend his personal views of literature and to present himself to the public as an acceptable representative of the newest generation, whilst riding on the ephemeral wave success enjoyed by new realism in the early 1970s.
