[en] Hydrographic measurements carried out during oceanographic campaigns in the Liguro-Provençal basin (Corsican area) have confirmed the presence of a thermohaline front along the occidental Corsican coast. Phytoplankton and zooplankton biomasses reach a maximum at the level of the front. On the other hand, zooplankton lipids content reaches maxima on both sides of the front, but not on the front.
