References of the abstract :
First, the paper will address several challenges I encountered with the manuscript sources underpinning my research, namely last wills and marriage contracts, when it comes to trying to recover women's experiences and voices. Second, I will present some of the findings I derived from studying last wills and marriage contracts. In that regard, I will focus on three key topics: daughters’ inheritance rights, legal provisions aimed at limiting or by-passing marital authority and the question of women’s last wills.
