Abstract :
[en] Dr Mona Claro will present preliminary results of the survey she is conducting in collaboration with Lenny Smirnova. This survey deals with one the dimensions of the contemporary Russian pronatalist policy: anti-abortion measures, including mandatory pre-abortion counseling conducted by gynecologists, psychologists, or orthodox priests. According to a decree, the goal of these measures is to convince 15% of the applicants to give birth instead of having an abortion. This survey investigates how health institutions implement this policy, based on a large corpus of publications written by the professionals who participate in its implementation.
