[en] We here present a method based on principal composant analysis to better remove the thermal background in the Hunt for Observable Signature of Terrestrial Systems (HOSTS) data. This method is based on the Hunziker et al. 2017 paper. We extend their study to the N' band used during the HOSTS survey, and compared the performances of our method in both high contrast imaging and aperture photometry.
