Abstract :
[en] Sleep-disordered breathing share a complex severity, a complex diagnosis and a complex management. Snoring is more a human condition than a disease. A history of oral breathing in childhood can led to snoring, then increased upper airway resistance or obstructive sleep apnea. Risks factors for obstructive sleep apnea are ethnicity, age, sex, poor sleep quality, medications and addictions. Management includes behavioral change in eating, moving and smoking cessation, positional therapy, myofunctional therapy, dilation therapy, CPAP, orthodontics and surgery.
