[en] I will first review the current possibilities and limitations of the different exoplanet detection techniques and projects for planet searches around ultracool dwarfs (UCDs).
I will then describe the knowledge gained so far about the occurrence of planets around UCDs and the properties of the currently known population.
Finally, I will discuss future projects and the expected development of the field in the next decade and beyond.
