[en] Introduction to the encoding of Ancient Egyptian hieroglyphic signs in Unicode, with a focus on the 9 control characters recently introduced in Unicode (2019). The talk focuses specifically on features of the hieroglyphic writing system that would require additional control characters (such as center insertion, rotation and mirroring).
