Abstract :
[en] The book is the first publication in the Croatian language that chronologically and thematically systematizes the existing European legal framework in the domain of the protection of the rights of minorities. It is intended for legal professionals but also for a wide circle of other readers, whose focus is on issues of ethnicity, national identity, multiculturalism, and the protection of minorities and human rights in general. The book provides an understanding of ideas and processes developed during the five centuries long protection of minority rights on the European continent, the consequences of which will undoubtedly affect the future cultural, social and political development of all the European countries.
