[en] In this presentation, I analysed the emergence of consumer law public enforcement in relation to financial services. I compared the powers of the U.S. consumer financial protection agency with those of the EU Member States' supervisors, as a matter of EU law. I concluded that much steps need to be taken at the EU level - if the political will for this remains - in order for streamlined consumer law public enforcement to be guaranteed.
