These elements are protected by the Belgian legal act of June 30, 1994 and the leagl act of August 31, 1998 protecting the databases and international conventions on copyright. The exceptions provided for by the law notwithstanding, these elements therefore cannot be reproduced, adapted, modified, redistributed nor circulated without the express written consent of the University .

Scientific and academic works available on this site are also protected by Belgian laws and international conventions on artistic and literary property. Any use of these works other than simple consultation is subject to the conditions enunciated in the user license.

The University of Liège authorizes the user to create a hypertext link to the site on the condition that the site creating this link has no commercial purpose related to its creation, does not use "framing" or "inlining" techiniques and/or does not contain any diffamatory language or illegal content.

Image rights

Any individual portrayed and identifiable in any scientific work available on the site has given the author and the University the authorization to reproduce his/her image.

Personal data collected within the framework of ORBi via completed form are treated in accordance with the law of December 8, 1992 concerning the treatment of personal data.

The present site does not use "cookies" except in the case when a member of the University identifies him/herself via the University's centralized identification process. In this case, any cookies generated are only intended to maintain the identification of the individual for the duration of the session; they are automatically deleted when the session is closed.

Applicable law and court of competent jurisdiction

Any use of the present site is subject to Belgian law.

Any dispute in relation to the use of the present site or its contents comes exclusively under the jurisdiction of the courts of Liège.
