Abstract :
[en] Isosungucine (1) is a quasi-symmetric bisindolomonoterpenoid alkaloid isolated from the roots of Strychnos icaja. The in vivo antimalarial activity against the P. vinckei petteri murine strain was determined. In the Peters 4-day suppressive test, 1 suppressed the parasitemia by almost 50 percent on day 4 at the dose of 30 mg/kg by intraperitoneal route.
