The Royal Academy of Belgium have recently published "Open Science, the challenge of transparency" by Bernard Rentier.

The book has been released simultaneously in a print version and in an Open Access online version.

"A new way of conceiving scientific research, open science, was born with the computer revolution. This book describes its origins, perspectives and objectives, and reveals the obstacles and obstacles due to private profit and academic conservatism."

ORBi (Open Repository and Bibliography)

In may 2007, the ULiège's Administrative Board (joined in June 2007 by the FUSAGx) decided to create an institutional repository and defined a strong institutional self-archiving policy to increase the visibility, accessibility and impact of the University's publications (ULiège mandate).

This decision led to the official launch, in November 2008, of the ORBi platform including both the Academic Bibliography and the Institutional Repository of the Wallonia-Europe University Academy.
